The Painted Dog's owner, Dana Greene was very accommodating right from the start. She was waiting to greet us when we arrived and let us know about all of the protocols at the Painted Dog (i.e., Painted Dog law book). There is a dog park on the property which was more than adequate for my 30 pound Keeshund. It is big enough so that he could get a good run by chasing the ball around the park. For humans, there's a private entrance to the second floor apartment, which was well furnished and quite comfortable (especially the love seat!). We took advantage of the many restaurants on the Cape so didn't use the kitchen much, but when I did, I had every thing I needed. Being in Eastham was nice since getting to Provincetown or Chatham was fairly easy and about the same amount time either way. Overall, we had a nice stay and would highly recommend The Painted Dog to anyone traveling with their pets.
