Points of Interest - Trout Lake Resort is near dozens of lakes and trails, the historic Gunflint Trail and the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area. We are 16 miles from Grand Marais and the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior. Grand Marais offers many restaurants and activities including a beautiful harbor, mini golf, and many art galleries and shops. We are 10 miles from the Gunflint Trail Golf Course and about 30 miles from the world renowned Superior National Golf Course. In the winter, there are many miles of snowmobile and cross-country ski trails and excellent down hill skiing is about 30 miles away at Lutsen.

Points of Interest - Bally Creek Camp is walking distance to the Superior Hiking Trail, and the North Shore Mountain Ski Trail. 6 miles from downtown Grand Marais, and l7 miles from Lutsen Mountains Ski Area. The cabins are 11 miles from Eagle Mtn. in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, which is the highest point in Minnesota. The cabins are 40 miles from the Canadian Border, Pigeion River port of Entry.
