Points of Interest - Located half a mile from I-25 and within walking distance of restaurants, museums and galleries, Tarabino Inn rests on a residential street within the Corazon de Trinidad National Historic District. The Santa Fe Trail History Museum and Rino's Italian Restaurant are just two blocks away. Trinidad Lake State Park is three miles from town, and Trinidad is perfectly located for a day trip around the Scenic Highway of Legends (Hwy. 12). Trinidad is tucked at the mouth of a broad canyon where the Purgatoire River meets the plains with Simpson's Rest to the north, Fisher's Peak to the south, more mountains to the west (including the Spanish Peaks and 14,000 ft. Culebra Peak), and ranch land to the east. People come to hike, bike, fish, hunt (elk, deer, pronghorn, turkey), discover history, or just to rest before moving on.
